We are delighted to announce the appointment of Fiona Chandler as Senior Tax Manager, strengthening the firm’s tax advisory team as it continues to expand its specialist service offering.
Fiona brings more than 14 years’ experience in UK tax, having trained in Liverpool and subsequently working with one of the largest independent firms of accountants and business advisers in North West England. During this time, she gained extensive exposure to complex personal tax matters, advising a wide range of clients across multiple sectors.
After returning to Northern Ireland in 2018, Fiona has worked within a number of well-established mid-tier practices, further developing her expertise and building strong client relationships. She specialises in personal tax, with a particular focus on inheritance tax (IHT), pension tax charges and personal tax planning for high-net-worth individuals and family-owned businesses. Fiona also has significant experience advising clients in the agricultural sector, supporting farmers and landowners with succession planning, IHT mitigation and long-term tax-efficient strategies.
In addition to her advisory work, Fiona has developed a strong reputation for providing practical, clear advice and for guiding clients through increasingly complex tax legislation with confidence.
Neil Armstrong, Tax Director at Baker Tilly Mooney Moore, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Fiona to the firm. Her breadth of experience in personal tax, together with her deep understanding of the agri sector and private client issues, will be a real asset to our team and to our clients. Fiona’s appointment reflects our ongoing commitment to investing in experienced professionals who can deliver high-quality, tailored advice in an evolving tax landscape.”
Fiona’s appointment further supports the firm’s continued investment in its tax advisory capability, ensuring clients benefit from specialist knowledge and a proactive, forward-looking approach to tax planning and compliance.
