A group from the firm recently dedicated time to voluntary work with The Conservation Volunteers as part of Baker Tilly Mooney Moore’s ongoing efforts to aid the group in achieving its goals. This initiative is part of a larger effort aimed at enhancing biodiversity, promoting forestation, and reducing environmental inequalities in Northern Ireland. The Conservation Volunteers, in collaboration with local participants, is committed to safeguarding conservation areas and increasing woodland coverage.

This environmental project provided an excellent opportunity for team bonding while making a positive environmental impact. The volunteers spent the day developing an outdoor planting area, undertaking tasks such as weeding, hoeing and preparing planting beds. The team enjoyed the chance to work outdoors and break away from their usual office routine.

The Conservation Volunteers is a practical conservation charity whose mission is to foster a sustainable future by engaging with and improving local communities. The organisation offers guidance, education, and training to drive practical changes that benefit the natural environment.

Assistant Manager Emma George shared: “Dedicating a day to working with The Conservation Volunteers was a fantastic way to leave the office behind and enjoy the outdoors with my colleagues. Our day was packed with outdoor activities, I especially enjoyed planting cherry seeds and can’t wait to see how they turn out! It was incredibly rewarding to learn new skills and help the local environment. A big thanks to the Baker Tilly Mooney Moore team for making this meaningful day possible.”

Joanne Small, Partner said: “These group activities are great for team bonding while also helping with local environmental conservation. At Baker Tilly Mooney Moore, we are dedicated to minimising our environmental impact and supporting our team’s mental health and well-being. As always, it was great to see the team come together to contribute positively to the local community. Thank you to the Conservation Volunteers for another fulfilling day outdoors!”
