Conal Moore is another of our current Higher Level Apprentices in the Business Services Team. A former Music, Sound & Technology undergraduate student, he joins Justin on the Accounting Technicians Ireland (ATI) course at Belfast Met.  Currently in year one of the two-year course, Conal will sit exams this year and next when he will be ATI qualified and will have the opportunity to study further.

After beginning university during the Covid-19 pandemic, he felt that entering employment at an earlier age while keeping his student debt at a manageable level was the best route for him.

“After studying music and the uncertainty of the pandemic, I could no longer see myself pursuing a career in that industry,” Conal tells us. “I left uni, worked in various office environments and then decided to put my A Level Finance qualification to good use and was thrilled to secure a place on the HLA programme with Baker Tilly Mooney Moore. It definitely benefits me more to be working whilst learning and I have got so much out of the course so far.”

Michael Branniff, Business Services Partner at Baker Tilly Mooney Moore added that Conal is a “strong addition to the team with a clear desire to develop into a reliable business adviser.  Conal is an enthusiastic and conscientious apprentice. We wish him all the best and are glad to see he’s kept up his hobby of music!”
