Each year we welcome a number of interns and graduates to our team. This year, for a few trainees, things have been a little different. We spoke to Ashleigh, who is currently on our Graduate Training Programme.
“These have definitely been strange times, and certainly not the traditional way of taking part in a Graduate Training Programme, but it’s still been a great experience with plenty of on the job learning. The team has been brilliant, really helpful and more than welcoming – even if we’re not sitting beside each other!
“So far, during the lockdown, I’ve been concentrating on accounts and audits which has been really insightful. We’re still working together in groups, albeit over email and phone. Working from home has its ups and downs; not having to deal with the traffic has been great, but I do miss the people in the office and working with the team face to face.
“Our exams with Chartered Accountants Ireland are in the summer so it’s been a good time to get a lot of studying done.”
