Partnership Appointments Announced

Apr 21, 2026

We are delighted to announce the appointments of Neil Armstrong to Tax Partner and Eimear Brown to Audit Partner, marking a significant milestone in the firm’s continued growth and investment in its people.

Neil’s appointment as Tax Partner reflects his contribution to the firm’s expanding tax advisory practice. With over 25 years’ experience advising individuals and businesses across Northern Ireland, he brings deep technical expertise and a strong track record in delivering strategic tax solutions. Prior to joining Baker Tilly Mooney Moore, Neil held senior roles in both a Big Four firm and a mid-tier practice, advising high net worth individuals and owner-managed businesses on a wide range of tax matters.

His areas of specialism include personal tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, succession planning and business structuring, with a particular focus on maximising tax efficiency and supporting long-term financial planning. Since joining Baker Tilly Mooney Moore, Neil has played a key role in strengthening the tax offering and supporting clients in navigating an increasingly complex regulatory landscape.

Eimear’s promotion to Audit Partner recognises her leadership and impact within the firm’s audit and assurance function. She joined Baker Tilly Mooney Moore as Head of Audit during a period of sustained growth, bringing with her over 16 years’ experience across Belfast and Dublin in both Big Four and mid-tier firms.

Since joining, Eimear has been responsible for leading the firm’s audit function, including overseeing a diverse client portfolio and driving staff training and development to maintain the firm’s high standards. Her breadth of sector experience spans areas such as not-for-profit, retail, property, manufacturing, construction and technology, reflecting her versatility and depth of expertise.

Eimear has played a key role in enhancing the firm’s audit offering, helping clients respond to evolving regulatory requirements, including the impact of Brexit, increased scrutiny, and the growing importance of ESG reporting. Her leadership, technical strength and forward-looking approach have been instrumental in supporting both clients and the continued development of the audit team.

Joanne Small, Managing Partner said: “We are incredibly proud to welcome Neil and Eimear to the partnership at Baker Tilly Mooney Moore. Both have consistently demonstrated dedication, strong leadership and an unwavering commitment to delivering the highest standards of service to our clients. Neil’s depth of experience and trusted advisory approach have been instrumental in the continued growth of our tax practice, while Eimear’s leadership has played a pivotal role in shaping and strengthening our audit function during a period of significant change and increased regulatory focus.

These promotions not only recognise their individual achievements and contributions to Baker Tilly Mooney Moore but also reflect our ongoing commitment to investing in our people and developing talent from within. As we continue to grow, having leaders of Neil and Eimear’s calibre within our partnership positions us strongly for the future and ensures we remain well placed to support our clients in an increasingly complex business environment.”
